Congratulations Brett and Lori (and big brother Mason)

Sometimes the wait is longer than we'd like, and Brett and Lori know first hand the heartache of waiting. And then their gift arrived. Beautiful and perfect, and I'm sure well worth the wait.

Brett and Lori, congratulations on the birth of your daughter. The Lord is faithful.

And a great BIG congratulations to big brother Mason! You're a might handsome big brother, and I'm pretty sure that little sister of yours will always have you watching out for her and protecting her.

And I just read this quote on Lori's facebook page and had to share:

"Mom, she is just like the baby I had dreams about.... except for whatever that is on her belly button. That definitely wasn't in my dream."- Mason

Congratulations Greg and Jessica

Congratulations Greg and Jessica on the birth of your daughter. A special congratulations to an incredible big sister as well! Don't you just love the look in big sister's eyes.

Greg and Jessica started with CAC on January 7th.
Started applying to agencies on February 24th
Then they waited, and waited.... Jessica had just joked with me earlier that same morning titling one of her emails to me "Persistent Jess," asking if I had heard about any new situations. She knew God had a baby just for them, but still waiting is hard. I kept telling her that when it happens it might happen fast, and it sure enough did.

When I got a call on Monday about a baby girl born on Mother's Day, I made a few quick phone calls around 3:30PM and by 4:00PM, Greg and Jessica were matched and their whirlwind adoption began. By 4:45PM Jess had emailed me her flight itinerary.

By 4AM the following day they left their house bound for Texas. They met their daughter at 12:30PM and by 8PM that same day they were discharged from the hospital with their precious bundle.

NOTE: to all of my waiting clients, I'm working on putting together some information for you on how to be best prepared for a WHIRLWIND ADOPTION. They happen A LOT! Hopefully my experiences, as well as the experiences of other clients will help you be prepared if your little bundle arrives in a hurry!

Reasons to Use and Adoption Consultant

Four years ago when we began to pursue adoption the main thing that paralyzed me was the "I don't where to start, I don't want to wait forever, and I don't have any money..." list of issues in front of me. I had never heard of an "adoption consultant" until friends of ours told us about Amy Young.

I'm not trying to drum up business, though I would jump up and down at the opportunity to help you in your adoption journey. What I do want to do is give you my simple run down of why using an adoption consultant changed my whole view of what adopting a baby would be like!

Using an adoption consultant:
1. Provides added security, protection, and peace of mind during the adoption process.
2. Provides advice on financing adoption.
3. Allows for a shorter wait time.
4. Provides connections to multiple agencies in "adoption friendly" states on your behalf.
5. Answers all those little questions you have, every step of the way.

Honestly, the reason I'm working now for Christian Adoption Consultants is because of the amazing experience that we had with them during our adoption; and because I truly want to help others walk through the journey of adoption with a sense of peace and joy!
